Comparison of the effects of mindfulness meditation and breath relaxation on concentration, attention and physical relaxation

The aim of this Master's thesis is to illuminate the question to what extent meditation exercises have an influence on attention when completing a task. The work supports the MATS project and aims to answer the question whether relaxation techniques before a task can help to increase attention and concentration. Furthermore, the question is to be examined whether mindfulness meditation before an exercise in the app context has a positive or negative effect on the completion of the exercise. Theoretically, a positive effect through stress reduction and the training of executive functions would be possible; a negative influence through the mental effort of meditation, which possibly exhausts mental capacities.
