Computer-based and automatic tracking and evaluation of player behavior in Virtual Reality Games
Abstract
This master thesis includes the development of a hardware-independent plugin in unity for computer-based and automatic evaluation of player behavior in a virtual reality environment. New metrics and features, which gives a better understanding about the behavior and experience of players in a fully immersive game world, are searched. Collected user data is visualized and displayed in a backend. Eventually a study with 20 probands is carried out to demonstrate the functionality of the plugin-in with a simple open-world game in VR. Furthermore, the results of the evaluation are viualised in a virtual reality environment. All in all this plugin aims to support scientist in their research on effects of VR to the players.
