Abstract

This work examines different approaches to motivate patients and further keeping the motivation high to interact with training software to support rehabilitation efforts in private location additionally to training sessions inside the clinic. For this purpose scientific research combined with direct information acquisition at the Zentrum für ambulante Rehabilitation in Münster through interviews and observation of physical training will be used to identify the specific target group. In the next step a conceptual design will be developed and implemented on prototypical basis. This prototype uses motion control through Microsofts Kinect and will then be evaluated regarding its acceptance by participants of the target group.
