Exploring the impact of a virtual body representation in a playful mixed reality application
Abstract
Since the integration of real-world objects
in virtual environments increases presence, the question arises whether a

This bachelor thesis explores the impact of a user’s
body representation on the subjective perception of presence in a playful mixed

optical recognition methods and integrated into an existing playful mixed
reality application. Furthermore, this thesis examines which integration method
has the biggest impact on the user’s presence and game experience by conducting
a comparative study
